Anti-TRIM45 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tripartite motif containing 45. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 580 amino acid residues and a mass of 64.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in skeletal muscle, brain, heart and pancreas. A member of the TRIM/RBCC protein family, TRIM45 is believed to act as a transcriptional repressor in mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include tripartite motif-containing protein 45 and ring finger protein 99. TRIM45 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some TRIM45 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
