Anti-FJX1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein four-jointed box kinase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 437 amino acid residues and a mass of 48.5 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. A member of the FJX1/FJ protein family, FJX1 is known to act as a inhibitor of dendrite extension and branching. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation and protein cleavage. Synonyms for this target antigen include four jointed box 1, four-jointed protein homolog, putative secreted ligand homologous to fjx1, and four-jointed box protein 1. FJX1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some FJX1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
