Anti-DNAJB8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DnaJ heat shock protein family (Hsp40) member B8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 232 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.7 kDa. DNAJB8 is reported to be an efficient suppressor of aggregation and toxicity of disease-associated polyglutamine proteins. Synonyms for this target antigen include DnaJ (Hsp40) homolog, subfamily B, member 8, testicular tissue protein Li 56, and dnaJ homolog subfamily B member 8. DNAJB8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some DNAJB8 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
