Anti-STMP3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target STMP3 is a known alias name of the protein STEAP3 metalloreductase, encoded by the STEAP3 gene in humans. This 488-amino acid residue protein is known to be an endosomal ferrireductase required for efficient transferrin-dependent iron uptake in erythroid cells. It is localized to the endosome of the cell and features glycosylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in adult bone marrow, placenta, liver, skeletal muscle and pancreas. Other synonyms for STMP3 include AHMIO2 and TSAP6. Western Blot is the most common application for the STMP3 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
