Anti-UP2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the UP2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the UPK2 gene, which encodes uroplakin 2. This protein is known to function in epithelial cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of UP2 has a canonical amino acid length of 184 residues and a protein mass of 19.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the urinary bladder. UP2 is a member of the Uroplakin-2 protein family. Indicated applications for UP2 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
