Anti-UTMOD antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target UTMOD is a known alias name of the protein tropomodulin 3, encoded by the TMOD3 gene in humans. This 352-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in muscle contraction, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. The term tropomodulin 3 (ubiquitous) is another synonym for UTMOD.
