Anti-UOG1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target UOG1 is a known alias name of the protein ceramide synthase 1, encoded by the CERS1 gene in humans. This 350-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a ceramide synthase that catalyzes the transfer of the acyl chain from acyl-CoA to a sphingoid base, with high selectivity toward stearoyl-CoA (octadecanoyl-CoA; C18:0-CoA). It is localized to the ER of the cell and features acetylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the rectum, placenta, colon, cerebral cortex, and caudate. Other synonyms for UOG1 include EPM8, GDF-1, and GDF1. Some UOG1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Indicated applications for the antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
