Anti-THETA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target THETA is a known alias name of the protein gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptor subunit theta, encoded by the GABRQ gene in humans. This 632-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in chemical synaptic transmission and signal transduction pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications.
