Anti-SDR1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SDR1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NPTN gene, which encodes neuroplastin. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion and the regulation of intracellular calcium, among other biological roles. The human version of SDR1 has a canonical amino acid length of 398 residues and a protein mass of 44.4 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
