Anti-PRPF21 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PRPF21 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SF3A1 gene, which encodes splicing factor 3a subunit 1. This protein is known to function in mRNA processing and RNA splicing, among other biological roles. The human version of PRPF21 has a canonical amino acid length of 793 residues and a protein mass of 88.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include PRP21 and SAP114.
