Anti-TRIM20 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TRIM20 is a known alias name of the protein MEFV innate immunity regulator, pyrin, encoded by the MEFV gene in humans. This 781-amino acid residue protein is reported to be involved in regulation of innate immunity and the inflammatory response in response to IFNG/IFN-gamma. It is localized to the nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm of the cell and features cleaved and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, particularly in mature granulocytes and to a lesser extent in monocytes but not in lymphocytes. Other synonyms for TRIM20 include FMF, MEF, and PAAND. Indicated applications for TRIM20 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
