Anti-PLA1/2-2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PLA1/2-2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLAAT2 gene, which encodes phospholipase A and acyltransferase 2. This protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of PLA1/2-2 has a canonical amino acid length of 162 residues and a protein mass of 17.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the duodenum and testis. Other names for this target antigen include HRASLS2, HRASLS2, and PLA1/2-2. Indicated applications for PLA1/2-2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
