Anti-PIG5 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PIG5 antigen is another term for the human protein macrophage erythroblast attacher, E3 ubiquitin ligase, encoded by the MAEA gene. The protein is an important component of the CTLH E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex that selectively accepts ubiquitin from UBE2H and mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of the transcription factor HBP1. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 396 residues and a mass of 45.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. Indicated applications for PIG5 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
