Anti-REF antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target REF is a known alias name of the protein Aly/REF export factor, encoded by the ALYREF gene in humans. This 257-amino acid residue protein is known to be an export adapter involved in nuclear export of spliced and unspliced mRNA. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features methylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in a wide variety of cancer types. Western Blot is a widely used application for the REF antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
