Anti-LRC4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LRC4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MBOAT7 gene, which encodes membrane bound O-acyltransferase domain containing 7. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of LRC4 has a canonical amino acid length of 472 residues and a protein mass of 52.8 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and notably expressed in the testis. LRC4 is a member of the Membrane-bound acyltransferase protein family.
