Anti-GRS antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GRS is a known alias name of the protein BCL2 related protein A1, encoded by the BCL2A1 gene in humans. This 175-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. Other synonyms for GRS include ACC-1, ACC-1, and ACC-2. Western Blot is the most common application for the GRS antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
