Anti-PAP2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PAP2 is a known alias name of the protein MYB binding protein 1a, encoded by the MYBBP1A gene in humans. This 1328-amino acid residue protein is believed to activate or repress transcription via interactions with sequence specific DNA-binding proteins (By similarity). It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
