Anti-PARI antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PARI is a known alias name of the protein PARP1 binding protein, encoded by the PARPBP gene in humans. This 579-amino acid residue protein is known to be required to suppress inappropriate homologous recombination, thereby playing a central role DNA repair and in the maintenance of genomic stability. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PARI include AROM and C12orf48.
