Anti-PI4K-BETA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PI4K-BETA is a known alias name of the protein phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase beta, encoded by the PI4KB gene in humans. This 816-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in signal transduction pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane, mitochondria, ER, Golgi, and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in the heart, skeletal muscle, pancreas, testis and ovary.
