Anti-PDZGEF1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PDZGEF1 is a known alias name of the protein Rap guanine nucleotide exchange factor 2, encoded by the RAPGEF2 gene in humans. This 1499-amino acid residue protein is known to function as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), which activates Rap and Ras family of small GTPases by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP in a cAMP-dependent manner. It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in primary neuronal and endocrine cells. Other synonyms for PDZGEF1 include CNrasGEF, NRAPGEP, and PDZ-GEF1.
