Anti-PARS antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PARS antigen is another term for the human protein glutamyl-prolyl-tRNA synthetase 1, encoded by the EPRS1 gene. The protein is known to function in insulin signaling pathways and the assembly of protein complexes, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1512 residues and a mass of 170.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and cytoplasm and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The PARS protein is a member of the Class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase protein family. Other alias names for PARS include EARS, EPRS, and GLUPRORS.
