Anti-PAHX antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PAHX antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PHYH gene, which encodes phytanoyl-CoA 2-hydroxylase. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of PAHX has a canonical amino acid length of 338 residues and a protein mass of 38.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the peroxisomes of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include LN1 and LNAP1. These PAHX antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
