Anti-NELFB antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein negative elongation factor complex member B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 580 amino acid residues and a mass of 65.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the NELF-B protein family, NELFB is an important component of the NELF complex, a complex that negatively regulates the elongation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Synonyms for this target antigen include negative elongation factor B, cofactor of BRCA1, negative elongation factor protein B, and COBRA1. NELFB gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of NELFB antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
