Anti-FSAP57 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FSAP57 is a known alias name of the protein SMU1 DNA replication regulator and spliceosomal factor, encoded by the SMU1 gene in humans. This 513-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in pre-mRNA splicing as a component of the spliceosome. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for FSAP57 include BWD and WD40 repeat-containing protein SMU1.
