Anti-HSPC104 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HSPC104 is a known alias name of the protein beta-secretase 1, encoded by the BACE1 gene in humans. This 501-amino acid residue protein is known to be important for the proteolytic processing of the amyloid precursor protein (APP). It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated, palmitoylated, acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed at high levels in the brain and pancreas. Other synonyms for HSPC104 include ASP2, ASP2, and BACE. These HSPC104 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
