Anti-HLC-10 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HLC-10 is a known alias name of the protein macrophage erythroblast attacher, E3 ubiquitin ligase, encoded by the MAEA gene in humans. This 396-amino acid residue protein is an important component of the CTLH E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex that selectively accepts ubiquitin from UBE2H and mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of the transcription factor HBP1. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for HLC-10 include EMLP, EMP, and GID9. Western Blot is the most common application for the HLC-10 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
