Anti-LPHH1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LPHH1 is a known alias name of the protein adhesion G protein-coupled receptor L2, encoded by the ADGRL2 gene in humans. This 1459-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a calcium-independent receptor of low affinity for alpha-latrotoxin, an excitatory neurotoxin present in black widow spider venom which triggers massive exocytosis from neurons and neuroendocrine cells. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be expressed widely in all normal tissues tested. Other synonyms for LPHH1 include CIRL2, CL2, and LEC1.
