Anti-ISG-54K antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ISG-54K is a known alias name of the protein interferon induced protein with tetratricopeptide repeats 2, encoded by the IFIT2 gene in humans. This 472-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and viral immune response, among other biological processes. It is localized to the ER and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the kidney. Other synonyms for ISG-54K include G10P2, GARG-39, and IFI-54.
