Anti-GABATR antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GABATR is a known alias name of the protein solute carrier family 6 member 1, encoded by the SLC6A1 gene in humans. This 599-amino acid residue protein is known to mediate transport of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) together with sodium and chloride and is responsible for the reuptake of GABA from the synapse. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the testis, cerebral cortex, and cerebellum. Other synonyms for GABATR include GABATHG and GAT1. Indicated applications for GABATR antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
