Anti-hDHB antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the hDHB antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HELB gene, which encodes DNA helicase B. This protein is known to function in DNA damage pathways and DNA repair, among other biological roles. The human version of hDHB has a canonical amino acid length of 1087 residues and a protein mass of 123.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells. hDHB is a member of the RecD protein family.
