This target is a reported synonym of the FEN1 gene, which encodes flap structure-specific endonuclease 1. This protein is known to function in DNA repair and DNA replication, among other biological roles. The human version of MF1 has a canonical amino acid length of 380 residues and a protein mass of 42.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as RAD2.
