Anti-KAL4 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The KAL4 antigen is another term for the human protein prokineticin 2, encoded by the PROK2 gene. The protein is believed to function as a an output molecule from the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) that transmits behavioral circadian rhythm. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 129 residues and a mass of 14.3 kilodaltons. It is a secreted protein and it is reported to be expressed in the testis and, at low levels, in the small intestine. The KAL4 protein is a member of the AVIT (prokineticin) protein family. Indicated applications for KAL4 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
