HFK2 antibodies are immunological tools used to detect the protein HFK2, also known as forkhead box protein G1 (FOXG1). HFK2 is a transcription factor, acting as a repressor of certain genes. It plays a role in the development of the brain and telencephalon. Mutations in the encoding gene result in FoxG1 syndrome, an autism spectrum disorder.
