Anti-HAVCR antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HAVCR is a known alias name of the protein hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 1, encoded by the HAVCR1 gene in humans. This 364-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a phosphatidylserine receptor that plays an important functional role in regulatory B-cells homeostasis including generation, expansion and suppressor functions (By similarity). It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features ubiquitinated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be widely expressed, with highest levels in the kidney and testis. Other synonyms for HAVCR include CD365 and KIM-1. Some HAVCR antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
