Anti-Interferon lambda 3 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IFNL3 in humans. The gene may also be known as IL28B, IFN-lambda-3, IFN-lambda-4, IL-28B, IL-28C, and cytokine Zcyto22. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 21.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
