Anti-FR-BETA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FR-BETA is a known alias name of the protein folate receptor beta, encoded by the FOLR2 gene in humans. This 255-amino acid residue protein is known to bind to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the interior of cells. It is localized to the cell membrane and is secreted of the cell and features N-glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the placenta and hematopoietic cells. Other synonyms for FR-BETA include BETA-HFR, FBP, and FBP/PL-1. Indicated applications for FR-BETA antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
