Anti-GLCNACTII antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GLCNACTII antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MGAT2 gene, which encodes alpha-1,6-mannosyl-glycoprotein 2-beta-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase. This protein is known to play an important role in protein N-glycosylation. The human version of GLCNACTII has a canonical amino acid length of 447 residues and a protein mass of 51.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CDG2A and CDGS2.
