Anti-CKN2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CKN2 is a known alias name of the protein ERCC excision repair 6, chromatin remodeling factor, encoded by the ERCC6 gene in humans. This 1061-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in repair of DNA damage following UV irradiation, acting either in the absence of ERCC6 or synergistically with ERCC6. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the heart and oocytes, but not in granulosa cells. Other synonyms for CKN2 include ARMD5 and COFS. Indicated applications for CKN2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
