Anti-BTF5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target BTF5 is a known alias name of the protein butyrophilin subfamily 3 member A1, encoded by the BTN3A1 gene in humans. This 513-amino acid residue protein is reported to play a role in T-cell activation and in the adaptive immune response. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for BTF5 include BT3.1 and BTN3.1.
