Anti-CADASIL antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CADASIL antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NOTCH3 gene, which encodes notch receptor 3. This protein is known to function in axon guidance and brain development, among other biological roles. The human version of CADASIL has a canonical amino acid length of 2321 residues and a protein mass of 243.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CADASIL1 and CASIL.
