Anti-G4.5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target G4.5 is a known alias name of the protein tafazzin, phospholipid-lysophospholipid transacylase, encoded by the TAFAZZIN gene in humans. This 262-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cardiac tissue development, among other biological processes. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle. Other synonyms for G4.5 include BTHS, CMD3A, and EFE. Western Blot is a widely used application for the G4.5 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
