Anti-BI antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The BI antigen is another term for the human protein calcium voltage-gated channel subunit alpha1 A, encoded by the CACNA1A gene. The protein is known to function in chemical synaptic transmission and the regulation of intracellular calcium, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 2506 residues and a mass of 282.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is expressed in the liver, duodenum, and cerebellum. The BI protein is a member of the Calcium channel alpha-1 subunit (TC 1.A.1.11) protein family. Indicated applications for BI antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
