Anti-FEX antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FEX is a known alias name of the protein leucine rich repeat containing G protein-coupled receptor 5, encoded by the LGR5 gene in humans. This 907-amino acid residue protein is a known receptor for R-spondins that potentiates the canonical Wnt signaling pathway and acts as a stem cell marker of the intestinal epithelium and the hair follicle. It is localized to the Golgi and cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in skeletal muscle, placenta, spinal cord, and various region of brain. The term GPR49 is another synonym for FEX. Western Blot is a widely used application for the FEX antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
