Anti-CHICA antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CHICA antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FAM83D gene, which encodes family with sequence similarity 83 member D. This protein is known to function in cell division and cell migration, among other biological roles. The human version of CHICA has a canonical amino acid length of 585 residues and a protein mass of 64.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells. CHICA is a member of the FAM83 protein family.
