Anti-5HT6 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The 5HT6 antigen is another term for the human protein 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 6, encoded by the HTR6 gene. The protein is known to function in chemical synaptic transmission, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 440 residues and a mass of 47 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is reported to be expressed in several human brain regions, most prominently in the caudate nucleus. The 5HT6 protein is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family.
