Anti-ACHN antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ACHN antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LARP6 gene, which encodes La ribonucleoprotein 6, translational regulator. This protein is reported to regulate the coordinated translation of type I collagen alpha-1 and alpha-2 mRNAs, CO1A1 and CO1A2. The human version of ACHN has a canonical amino acid length of 491 residues and a protein mass of 54.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include la-related protein 6 and La ribonucleoprotein domain family member 6.
