Anti-FACT antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the FACT antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SSRP1 gene, which encodes structure specific recognition protein 1. This protein is known to function in DNA repair and DNA replication, among other biological roles. The human version of FACT has a canonical amino acid length of 709 residues and a protein mass of 81.1 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebellum and parathyroid gland. FACT is a member of the SSRP1 protein family.
