Anti-LHRH antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LHRH is a known alias name of the protein gonadotropin releasing hormone 1, encoded by the GNRH1 gene in humans. This 92-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell to cell signaling and the regulation of gene expression, among other biological processes. The protein is secreted and features cleaved post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and fallopian tube. Other synonyms for LHRH include GNRH and GRH. Over 60 citations in the literature describe the use of LHRH antibodies in research. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
