Anti-NESH antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NESH antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ABI3 gene, which encodes ABI family member 3. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization, among other biological roles. The human version of NESH has a canonical amino acid length of 366 residues and a protein mass of 39 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the lymph node and spleen. This target antigen may also be known as SSH3BP3.
