FliC antibodies are immunological tools used to detect the flagellar filament structural protein, FliC. It is present in many organisms, most notably in Escherichia coli and pathogens such as Salmonella species. Flagellin arranges itself into a cylindrical structure to form bacterial flagella, and is its main structural component. FliC can elicit immune responses from host organisms when infected by a pathogen. FliC antibodies can be used for Western blot and ELISA kits.
